In May this year the Education, Training and Employability Project advertised for participants to take part in the Security Industry Authority Training in Security Guarding. The response to this training was fantastic and spaces filled very quickly. Thirteen participants successfully completed the training and displayed great knowledge of the subject in passing all final exams in order to qualify for the licence.
Many participants have potential employment opportunities lined up and are now qualified to register with various Security Industry Agencies in order to increase their employment prospects. This Direct Route to Employment Training has been a huge hit and has given the community the opportunity to develop real skills to use within the security industry sector.
Shankill Women’s Centre is planning to run this training again within the coming months. If you wish to register your details please ensure you are over 18 years and are not employed or in any other form of training or higher education. Contact
