Our Generation - In Conversation with Betty Carlisle

A conversation with Betty Carlisle who grew up in the Woodvale area of Belfast in Braken Street. Like many girls she went straight from school to work in Gallaghers Tobacco Factory, later to take up further education & then moved on to "social care" type work, ending up as the Manager of Shankill Women's Centre. As well as her community work on the Shankill, Betty chats about the Troubles, her days in the park hanging round with friends, and the bomb scares, battles and disruption.
